Have you wondered how you can really know God? If your spiritual eyes can be opened? And you can experience Him? In this podcast, I talk about how to be still before God—to let go, relax and soak in His presence. You can experience the manifest presence of God every day. He is knowable. My special guest, Gary Oats, author of Open My Eyes, Lord, talks with me about how we can get closer to God and have a real relationship with Him.

Your spiritual eyes can be opened to know God. And to experience Him! God is both knowable and experiential.

In the verse, “Be still and know that I am God” the word know means to know God in terms of our knowledge of Him but very importantly, it means to experience Him. (Psalm 46:10)

There was a season in my life when my ongoing question was: God, I don’t know how to know You. How do I know You? I asked the people in my church. Though no one really had an answer, I kept asking and reading the Bible.

I learned that I could grow in intimacy with the nature of God.

I found that through an intimate closeness with God, I could experience Him.

Recently, I was in New York speaking at a conference, and a woman came up to me with worry written all over her face. She said, “I can’t hear from God! I don’t know what to do! How do I know Him better?” This is a great question that a think a lot of people are asking: Can I experience God???

First, I can tell you that we can know Him personally by learning what He says in the Bible—about you and about Himself. AND we get to know Him more deeply and experientially by spending time with Him.
