How To Stand When You’re Falling Apart

By |April 1st, 2014|Strength|

I just can’t shake this feeling. I am sensing that many of you in blogland and facebookland feel like you’re falling apart and you don’t know what to do. Things are going awry, and you don’t know how to fix it. I have felt this way myself. As a matter of fact, this past weekend everything was getting to me. I felt anxious and stressed. And I TEACH on keeping our thoughts aligned with heaven!

I texted a good friend who also has a speaking/book ministry. She said, “Linda, that’s the enemy driving you into perfectionism and control.” At first I thought, “Naw. I’m probably the least perfection person around.” Then I thought about it. Everything causing stress in me was about things not being right. Done right. Working right. Planned right. I was wondering if I were even making right decisions. Yikes! Can you relate? I’ll bet you can.

HERE’S THE DEAL: Perfectionism is tricky. In my wanting things to be done right, I was putting the weight of each situation on ME.

My friend told me to stop working for 24 hours. Take a sabbatical. Anything that comes to mind, write it down and ask God to handle it. Leave it there. No more work until the peace of Christ calms your spirit! And go do something totally different—and do it outdoors! She said to meditate on Psalm 46:10 :  “Be still and know that I am God.” So I said that verse over and over in my heart all day.

The last thing she said was that I am ready to coach other people on how to manage their time for such a ministry as this. Okay, now she is speaking prophetically. I was not in a place to coach my cat, much less out in blogland. But the prophecy went down into me. She was standing outside of linear time. Prophesying.  And now, here I am. Within 24 hours, standing outside of linear time, coaching YOU. You are ready to coach people who are standing where you are right now. I know you don’t see it. But you will.  And it will happen.

I am a warrior. I take down giants on a daily basis. God has given me an upgrade, and today—GOD HAS AN UPGRADE FOR YOU!

Remember Apostle Paul, teaching us that there is a battle going on and to put on the armor of God so we can RESIST and STAND OUR GROUND. You can read it in Ephesians 6. Here’s what I want to point out. Your job is to stand. That’s right: STAND! You could say Paul is encouraging you to BE STILL AND KNOW…

“…after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm…”  Eph. 6:13

In other words, when you have done all the crisis demands, stand firmly in your place. That means—IN YOUR TRUE IDENTITY!

You MUST be postured in your identity. Not sure how? Pick up the Bible and speak out loud what God says about you. I can make a suggestion. For free, you can read decrees on aligning your thoughts with heaven in the first chapter of The Real You: Believing Your True Identity. Just go to www.lindabreitman/store.  I am not trying to sell books, although this book would really help you. I just want to give you a freebie to get you started.

You feel like you’re falling apart—but you WILL get through this. STAND and KNOW.

Okay, peeps, I love you. Stand firm! You are not alone!

Keeping a warrior mindset,

 Linda

Want to Have Fierce Faith?

By |March 24th, 2014|Identity|

“Who’s going through something challenging right now?” Every time I’ve asked an audience this question, nearly every hand goes up. Pretty much everyone is facing some kind of giant. If you are not experiencing a challenge right now, you will be. Jesus said it. He said that in the world, we would have trials. Difficult situations. The trials can easily make us feel hopeless. We feel like we are backed up against a wall, and there is nowhere to go, no one to call. We are at the end of the line, and we feel like we don’t have a future.

It’s happened to me, and I know it’s happened to you because I’ve seen many of your faces. During these watershed moments in our lives, we need supernatural, life-empowering intervention. What’s more, we can choose to take a defiant posture of faith and trust. We need to stay close the only One who can move mountains for us. Here are five keys to posturing in fierce faith and persevering through trials.

1.  GOD HAS A PLAN FOR YOU. In Jeremiah 29:11, God said, “I know the plans I have for you… plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

First of all, God has plans for YOU. Yes, YOU. Right where you are. He still has a plan. A plan means something that has been worked out ahead of time. Think about it. God knew about the trial you are in right now. He knew about the pain. He knew about scattered feelings of hopelessness. But He STILL has a plan for YOU. And that plan contains hope.

Say it to yourself right now: “God has a plan for me.” That’s right. It’s important that you speak it. When you do, you are making a choice to come into agreement with what God has already said about you. Don’t go looking at your circumstances, or you will begin to sink in the waves of despair, just like Peter when he walked on water. Choose to agree that God has a plan.

2.  YOU HAVE HOPE. The last part of Jeremiah 29:11 says that God gives you “hope and a future.”

I want to focus on the word “HOPE.” God’s definition of hope means favorable and confident expectation based on the promises of God. Say right now: “I have hope!” Here is a key to remember: God has already given you hope. Hope is in you right now. Go ahead and look. You have a deep reservoir of hope.

Hope connects you with your future. No matter what the situation looks like, He has a future for you. Having hope means you are going to make it. You will fulfill everything God has called you to do.

3.  YOU WILL PROSPER. God said, “I have plans to prosper you and not to harm you.”

What He is saying here is that He is working everything out for the good of those who love Him. You will find that passage in Romans 8:28. Say it right now: “God is working everything together for my good because I love Him.” It’s not your job to figure out how your situation could or should work it out. That’s God’s part. Your job is to trust that right now, He is at work on your behalf.

4.  YOU CAN TRUST GOD. Okay, now let’s talk about trusting God. Trusting God means that no matter what—you are going to dig in your heels and rely on Him.

Say right now, “I do not lean on my own understanding. I rely on You, God. You will direct my path.” Trust increases when you speak it and set your mind to think it.

Now let’s tie this all together. Right now, say: “I trust You, Lord, with my future!” He cares about every detail of your life. You will know you have fierce faith when things don’t turn out the way you want—and you trust Him anyway.

5.  CHOOSE TO SPEAK LIFE.  It is vital that you speak not only in your head but also that you verbalize Scripture out loud. “Life and death are in the power of the tongue” (Proverbs 18:21).

Here are two more keys:

  • What you say about your future affects your future.
  • What you verbalize about trusting God affects your future.

He said He has a plan for you. Verbalize it. Speak LIFE. Choose LIFE. Choose to BELIEVE God. Hold on to God and trust God.

Know this: you might have felt like you were backed up against a wall. But it is not a wall with nowhere to go. You can choose. You can believe. You can trust. You can have fierce faith. Posture yourself to be backed up in one position and one position only—right into the arms of Jesus!

The War for Your Identity!

By |February 19th, 2014|Identity|

You have a new identity, and you must learn about that identity. Our thoughts will either reflect what the world tells us about who we are, what people have told us about who we are, or our thoughts will reflect precisely who GOD SAYS WE ARE!

Think about it. To whom are you listening?

Behold, I Have Set A Door Before You!

By |January 18th, 2014|Identity|

Before me stood a gigantic open door. Imagine a huge door, and then quadruple it. I stood at the threshold and looked into a vast landscape, lush with greenery. I was so very small in the enormous doorframe. Even though I appeared miniscule, excitement about the future saturated me. It was going to be amazingly GOOD! My future was going to be as ginormous as the great door.

I sensed God saying:

“Right now, there is a door before you that is far greater than anything you have ever asked or imagined. You are crossing into the beyond what you can ask or imagine realm. You are entering into the realm where you will participate in things the eye has not seen nor has the ear heard. You are stepping into My world.”

I knew this massive door would lead me into greater dimensions of the glory realm—and it was going to be fun! The atmosphere was thick with revelation. I would experience places of the glory realm I had not known, and the supernatural would be natural. As I pondered the door, I grew aware that the door was not only a door for me, but also for you. It has been placed before YOU! This wondrous door is before His Bride.

More Doors Await You

I also knew that there would be more doors once I went through this great door. The unseen doors that lay beyond would be somewhat smaller, more specific doors. These powerful doors would lead me to what I needed in order to accomplish specific tasks. Once I stepped through that great door, I knew everything I needed would be amply supplied. My eyes would see with increased clarity. I would find myself more at home where God has said I am seated—in heavenly places.

Taking Down Giants

Last year, I encountered one difficult battle after another. It seemed that every day a new giant showed up. Can you relate? And I survived. I persevered, and I’m still here. I know I am not alone because many have told me that last year was hard. In a recent blog, Bill Yount said, “God has favored me to live through the hardest times. You too.”

Friend, right now you are in the midst of going through this grand door. When I saw it, it seemed to appear out of nowhere. It was just there. Your glorious future will unfold very naturally without the turmoil of last year. There may be obstacles, but your inner response will be different because now—you know how to take down giants.

God Knows Who You Are!

By |October 7th, 2013|Identity|

The devil knows who you are. Who do YOU think you are? The world will demand that you compare yourself to others. An inner voice says, “You can’t do this. You don’t measure up. You might as well go home.” What you believe about yourself in your heart is a deal-maker or a deal-breaker. What you believe about yourself is your identity. Identity directly affects destiny.Recognize the warfare. The devil does NOT want you to know who you are.

God Sees the REAL You.

He opens a door for YOU to see yourself through HIS eyes. A wondrous new horizon opens up into a realm with no limitations. Where you can defy this natural world. Where your eyes are opened to see what He is doing. A world of more dreams, more visions, more supernatural encounters. He has given you the capacity to see yourself as He sees you …

This is the REAL you.
